Text messages from Dr. Anthony Fauci’s government-issued cellphone show the former National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) director privately raised concerns in January 2021 about a possible link between Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination and first-trimester miscarriage, according to reports published this week.
Sens. Ron Johnson (R-WI) and Rand Paul (R-KY) released the messages on Aug. 10, according to the Epoch Times. They were among more than 34,000 messages obtained from the device, the report stated [2].
The exchange took place between Fauci, then-Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Director Rochelle Walensky and Dr. Vivek Murthy, who would soon become U.S. surgeon general, according to Just the News [8]. Fauci headed NIAID at the time, one of 27 institutes and centers that make up the National Institutes of Health, according to Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s book “The Wuhan Cover Up” [11].
Fauci’s warning was carefully worded, according to a report by 100percentfedup.com. He described a theoretical risk tied to fever after the second dose, not data proving that the shots cause miscarriages [1]. The messages, dated Jan. 25 to 26, 2021, capture a conversation between Fauci, Walensky and Murthy while federal officials were debating COVID vaccination for pregnant women, according to Modernity.news [3].
“I asked around a bit more and another issue came up that you need to be aware of,” Fauci wrote in the exchange, according to 100percentfedup.com [4]. The report said Fauci privately flagged a theoretical link between the second COVID-19 vaccine dose and first-trimester miscarriage while public messaging and recommendations pressed ahead [3]. The exchange occurred in January 2021, before the CDC issued guidance in 2021 recommending COVID-19 vaccination for pregnant women, according to NaturalNews.com [9].
At the time of the exchange, Fauci publicly said there were “no red flags” for pregnant women, according to the New York Post, as cited in a report by 100percentfedup.com [4]. The text messages appear to conflict with those public assurances, according to Modernity.news, which reported the concern was raised “while the public messaging and recommendations pressed ahead” [3].
The Department of Health and Human Services is reportedly preparing to halt its blanket recommendation for COVID-19 vaccines for pregnant women, children, and teens, reversing the CDC’s 2021 guidance, according to NaturalNews.com. The report cited years of evidence linking the vaccines to severe side effects, including myocarditis [9].
Children’s Health Defense, which published reporting on the text messages, said the release shows the public was not given complete information, according to the article [5]. The organization focuses on safeguarding children’s health and defending broader human rights, according to an interview with Dr. Brian Hooker, the group’s chief scientific officer, and Natalie Sady [14].
Researchers have raised concerns about the effects of mRNA vaccines on reproduction. Dr. Naomi Wolf discussed findings from a review of 109 reports by 3,500 doctors and scientists indicating that mRNA vaccines disrupt ovaries, damage the placenta, and suppress sperm motility, according to an interview with the Health Ranger Mike Adams [13].
Wolf noted a 40% rise in maternal mortality and a drop in live births ranging between 13% and 20% in Western countries, according to the interview [13]. Scientists warned early in the rollout of potential adverse impacts on fertility, according to Mercola.com [10].
The release adds to an ongoing debate about vaccine safety and transparency, according to the National Pulse, which reported that the messages raise questions about transparency and informed consent [7]. Kennedy Jr.’s book “The Real Anthony Fauci” provided an accounting of “Big Pharma’s manipulation of our healthcare and the drug industry,” according to a published summary of the book [12].
The Children’s Health Defense article did not include an official response from Fauci or federal agencies, according to the report [5]. The release follows the publication of Fauci’s diaries and his refusal to answer questions during a Senate hearing, according to Children’s Health Defense [6].
