For the past few days, Brighteon University has been streaming “The Truth About Pet Cancer,” a deep dive into the full picture about what causes cancer on pets, how to prevent it, and what options exist beyond conventional treatments.
On Day 6, aired on March 26, host Ty Bollinger featured Dr. John Robb, a veterinarian locked out of professional meetings and brought before the state board for trying to warn the public about potential over-vaccination and the inflammatory dangers of the rabies shot.
As noted by BrightU.AI‘s Enoch, the inflammatory dangers of the rabies shot are presented as potentially triggering severe immune-mediated reactions, such as immune hemolytic anemia and creating conditions that may allow latent viruses to express themselves, leading to rapid tumor growth. Repeated vaccination is harmful, with a risk of chronic inflammatory or autoimmune damage.
His story framed the modern veterinary industry through a damning lens. In the world of veterinary medicine, where trust is paramount, he exposed a systemic betrayal of that trust, driven by profit over prevention. Robb asserted the profession has become more focused on profitable protocols like annual vaccines and prescription diets than on true health, leaving trusting pet owners to deal with heartbreaking consequences.
“I’ve been persecuted,” Robb stated plainly. “I’ve been in front of the state board two or three times. I’ve been locked out of meetings. I go to a veterinary associated meeting. I get there and the door’s locked.”
He described being ostracized by colleagues for challenging the status quo, particularly the legal classification of pets as mere property. “They call it collegiality but wait a minute. You sit there and sell the animal bond and then you want them treated like property so that you can’t get any trouble if you kill them.”
Robb painted a picture of an industry incentivized to keep clients coming through the door for revenue-generating services, rather than keeping pets healthy and out of the clinic. “They are all these articles on how to get the client in the door,” he noted. “Well, I want to keep the client out of the door. I want to keep the pet healthy.”
This alleged profit motive draws a direct parallel to historical corporate deception, as highlighted by other experts in the series. Commenting on entrenched medical opposition to natural therapies, Dr. Joseph Mercola evoked the tobacco industry’s past denials: “The 70s days when they were saying they were lying like crazy. No, it’s not addictive. It doesn’t cause cancer. And how many people did they fool? Tens of millions.”
For Robb, the ultimate tragedy is the betrayal felt by pet owners. “I’ll tell you what, the worst thing in the world is to lose a pet at four years old,” he said. “But the second worst thing is to find out it happened because of betrayal. That’s where they can’t live with themselves, because they brought it in and trusted.”
His crusade underscores a broader theme in the documentary: a call to move away from a symptom-treatment model reliant on pharmaceuticals and toward root-cause, preventive care. This holistic approach, which includes species-appropriate nutrition, minimizing toxins and exploring natural modalities like cannabis and homeopathy, is often marginalized.
As homeopathic expert Dr. Richard Bell explained, licensing boards for veterinarians are “controlled by pharmaceutically conflicted external forces,” creating a system where, he argued, “too many pets will die needlessly, just like humans do.”
Robb’s experience serves as a stark warning to pet owners: The system designed to heal their beloved companions may, in some cases, be financially incentivized to do the opposite. It’s a call for education, skepticism and a return to a medicine focused on genuine health rather than the bottom line.
