The Health Ranger Mike Adams sat down with Nathan Jones, the visionary behind the health products company Xlear, to discuss Jones’ ongoing struggle for health freedom against regulatory overreach.
Jones, a former underwater welder and military man, embarked on his entrepreneurial journey in 2000, driven by his physician father’s groundbreaking discovery. His father, recognizing the potential of xylitol – a natural sweetener with proven dental benefits – began incorporating it into saline nasal sprays to combat children’s ear infections.
This innovative approach was backed by decades of research, revealing xylitol’s ability to prevent tooth decay by disrupting the metabolism of harmful bacteria in the mouth. “My dad started mixing xylitol into saline nasal spray and washing out the noses of kids in his practice,” recounted Jones.
While studies showed that xylitol prevented tooth decay, they also revealed a surprising side effect. This natural sweetener also contributed to a 42 percent reduction in respiratory infections.
Xlear’s nasal spray, a xylitol-based formula, has gained a loyal following for its effectiveness in maintaining nasal hygiene. Even Adams himself, a longtime advocate and user of the product, shared how he used the spray. The Health Ranger used it prophylactically before public speaking or traveling, even adding a few drops of iodine for an extra boost.
Xylitol blocks bacteria from adhering to tissue and reduces the risk of infection. Jones shared that during the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, grapefruit seed extract – used as a preservative in the spray – was equally effective at destroying SARS-COV-2 as a 70 percent alcohol solution.
The conversation took a dramatic turn as Jones recounted the challenges Xlear faced from government regulators. Despite the product’s proven benefits, the company found itself under scrutiny during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Jones explained that they sent their data to the government, including a study showing xylitol’s effectiveness against SARS-CoV-2. But instead of support, his company received a warning letter from the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) for sharing their findings. Adams expressed his outrage, stating that “the FTC is suppressing science.” He also noted that the agency has a monopoly on enforcement and can weaponize its power without accountability. Jones concurred that this is criminal negligence, pointing out that the FTC’s actions likely caused hundreds of thousands of deaths by silencing companies like Xlear.
The interview highlighted the broader implications of the FTC’s actions, with Jones emphasizing the need for companies to stand up against regulatory overreach. His company has already spent millions fighting this battle, and will spend more because “it’s a fight that has to be fought.”
Adams praised Jones’ courage, stating the Xlear founder and CEO was setting a precedent for defeating the FTC’s overreach. He added that this was a clear case of administrative tyranny where unelected officials make decisions without oversight.
Jones emphasized the importance of educating the public about the benefits of hygiene and sanitation. He pointed out that America’s public health agencies have failed the American people because they focused solely on vaccines and ignored the power of simple hygiene measures.
The CEO of Xlear also stressed the need to empower people with knowledge so they can make informed decisions about their health. Adams echoed this sentiment, stating that educational programs that talk about hygiene and sanitation and platforms like Brighteon.com are critical for providing people with the information they need to protect themselves and their families.
As the interview concluded, Adams encouraged viewers to support Xlear and other companies fighting for health freedom. The best way to support Jones and his mission is by using his products and spreading the word about the importance of health freedom.
In a world where health freedom is increasingly under threat, the conversation between Adams and Jones serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of standing up for the right to choose natural health solutions. As consumers, Americans must support companies like Xlear and advocate for a regulatory environment that fosters innovation and protects their right to make informed health decisions.
