At the height of the pandemic, Big Pharma and mainstream media reassured the public that Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccines and booster shots were safe. However, many people eventually got sick or died even after getting vaccinated, with many cases caused by the vaccines themselves.
Now, mainstream media is finally admitting what the public has known for a long time: that mRNA gene therapies are toxic, dangerous and ineffective.
CNN recently published an article saying that COVID-19 vaccines increase stroke risk in older adults, especially when the former is administered with the flu shot.
According to the study cited in the CNN report, vaccines for COVID-19 and influenza may slightly increase the risk of strokes caused by blood clots in the brains of the elderly, especially when the two vaccines are given at the same time and when the vaccines are administered to adults who are 85 and older.
The safety signal was detected by experts at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), who reviewed data from Medicare claims.
The study is the second one to find an elevated risk of stroke for seniors after coronavirus and flu vaccinations are given together.
In January, both the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the FDA issued a public communication to explain that one of their near real-time vaccine safety monitoring studies, the Vaccine Safety Datalink, had picked up a small and uncertain risk of stroke for the elderly who received a dose of Pfizer’s bivalent COVID-19 vaccine and a high-dose or adjuvanted flu shot on the same day.
The study resulted in the FDA taking a broader look at strokes after vaccination noted in the medical records of older adults on Medicare.
According to additional analysis of the Medicare claims data, the FDA researchers discovered that there was a “very slightly increased risk of stroke” in adults aged 65 and older who had only gotten a high dose of flu vaccine.
In absolute terms, the extra risk from high-dose flu vaccines amounted to one to two strokes for every 100,000 doses.
Experts insist that the absolute risk is “minuscule.” In a public presentation of the data to the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, Dr. Tom Shimabukuro, director of the Immunization Safety Office at the CDC, explained that available data “do not provide clear and consistent evidence of a safety problem for ischemic stroke with bivalent mRNA COVID-19 vaccines when given alone or given simultaneously with influenza vaccines.”
Scientists claim that they are still investigating the possible link. (Related: Getting the flu vaccine with Pfizer’s COVID-19 booster increases STROKE RISK.)
Dr. William Schaffner, an infectious disease expert at Vanderbilt University, said the risk of serious disease associated with both COVID-19 and influenza for the population at highest risk, which is the elderly, is much greater than the potential increased risk associated with a vaccine.
Amid the stroke risk and various negative side effects linked to COVID-19 and flu vaccines, experts continue to tell people that they must get vaccinated.
Even Schaffner advised those who are worried could get each vaccine at different times rather than together. Schaffner, who is in his mid-80s, said he got both his COVID-19 and flu vaccines at the same time, in the same arm, and experienced “very little reaction afterwards.”
On the other hand, Dr. Peter Marks, head of the FDA’s Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research, said that he was planning to get his coronavirus vaccine first, followed by his flu vaccine weeks later.
On an FDA stakeholder call in September, Marks said you can minimize the chance of interactions and minimize confusion from the side effects of the two vaccines by waiting at least two weeks between the vaccines.
FDA investigators analyzed the medical claims of more than 5.3 million adults ages 65 and older who were enrolled in Medicare and received a bivalent COVID-19 vaccine made by Pfizer or Moderna. When looking at the adults aged 85 and older, they observed an elevated risk of strokes caused by blood clots in people who received Pfizer vaccines, but not in those who received Moderna vaccines.
The data also found that older adults aged 65 and older who got a bivalent vaccine and high-dose or adjuvanted flu shot at the same time also had an increased risk of blood clots in their brains.
The investigators added that the study is observational, which means it can only show associations and that it can’t prove cause and effect. The study was also posted as a preprint ahead of peer review by outside experts and publication in a medical journal.
